We are looking for a skilled Production Support Engineer with experience in application support, technology operations and infrastructure monitoring. The candidate will be responsible for handling production incidents, troubleshooting application and server issues, monitoring daily operations, and ensuring the smooth functioning and availability of business-critical applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues, application failures and service outages, ensuring timely resolution.
- Handle Level-1 service requests and incident closures.
- Execute daily operational checklists, including EOD/BOD batch job monitoring and verification.
- Perform daily health checks on applications, middleware and database servers.
- Monitor alerts through application monitoring tools and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
- Support application and middleware components, including IIS and WebLogic.
- Assist with new server inductions, Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and data purging activities.
- Coordinate and execute planned production activities, ensuring UAT sign-offs and production downtime approvals.
- Support vulnerability remediation, compliance activities, OS patching and server maintenance.
- Coordinate port opening requests and firewall-related activities.
- Execute Change Requests (CRs) for application deployments and production updates.
- Perform basic backend database updates and troubleshooting.
- Manage SSL certificate renewals, tracking and related activities.
- Support infrastructure-related issues during UAT.
- Maintain and review server backup policies.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of server inventory and operational documentation.
- Technology Operations / Application Support / Production Support.
- IIS and WebLogic.
- Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
- Unix/Linux commands and troubleshooting.
- Oracle Database and MS SQL Server.
- Production incident management and troubleshooting.
- Monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and AppDynamics.
- Exposure to any cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Knowledge of banking applications and BFSI operations.
- Experience with EOD/BOD job monitoring and production deployment activities.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Production Support, Application Support or Technology Operations.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of application, middleware, database and server operations.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple technical teams and resolve production issues within agreed timelines.
- Good communication and incident management skills.
